parentage between the ages of 18 and 20

years be compelled by law to undergo Mili-

-tary training of the same standard as is

required of the Hongkong Volunteers for a

period of 3 years from date of beginning of

such training: Provided that if he leaves

the Colony before such period of 3 years and

does not return before their expiration he

shall not be required to complete the

training; and provided further that any

Member of the Hongkong Volunteer Corps who

shall render himself efficient shall be

exempt from such compulsory training.
